New Zealand's premier national championship in the fast-paced 3x3 basketball format is set to return to ILT Stadium Southland in Invercargill for its third consecutive year.
The 3x3 Cup will showcase the best 3x3 talent in the country across four days of action from October 25th-28th.
As an initiative by Basketball New Zealand (BBNZ) to promote and elevate the presence of 3x3 basketball in the country, the 3x3 Cup has gained significant traction and popularity among players and fans alike.
The sport's explosive growth on a global scale, evident from its inclusion in prestigious events like the Commonwealth Games, Tokyo Olympics and 3x3 World Championships, has further amplified the enthusiasm for 3x3 basketball in New Zealand.
The tournament will bring together 24 top men’s and women’s teams with players taking part in 178 games, creating a highly competitive environment that promises exciting matchups across the event. Every game of the 2023 3x3 Cup will be broadcast live on Sky Sport.
ILT Stadium Southland will once again serve as the perfect backdrop for the 3x3 Cup, offering a world-class venue and creating an exhilarating atmosphere for spectators.
General Manager of Leagues Maree Taylor is excited to return to Invercargill for another thrilling four days of 3x3 action.

ILT Stadium Southland Event Manager Josephine Shepard expressed her excitement about hosting the event once again.

“The previous editions have provided a destination event for the Murihiku region with our local basketball fan base pumped to be hosting. We are thrilled to provide a world-class venue and team for this fast-paced, high quality basketball event,” said Shepard.
