Northland United is set to play under the bright lights at the 3X3 Schick Cup this October after securing a spot in the men's competition.
With the Manawatu Jets letting go of their position, the new-look United have swooped and didn't hesistate when the opportunity arose, grabbing it with both hands as they continue to build a successful progamme across their region.
Players hoping to be drafted to the NBL 3X3 season must register before July 24.

General Manager of Northland Basketball, Josh Port, was understandably delighted to hear the news that United had been accepted into the NBL's growing 3X3 season.
"The opportunity for Northland United to join the NBL's Shick 3X3 competition is massive for us in the north. We are hoping to bring the passion and ability that Northland has always been known for, onto the national stage," Port said.
10 teams will compete at the Schick Cup in Invercargill between October 14 and 16.

League General Manager Justin Nelson said he was please to welcome the United into the NBL 3X3 arena.
"The Northland region is brimming with basketball talent, especially young players who are quickly becoming hooked on the 3X3 format, so this opportunity for their programme is another important step.
"I'm delighted to see Northland with a women's team in the D-League, and now also to have men's representation in the NBL 3X3," Nelson added.
