Airs Make Tough Decisions With Eye To The Future

The Taranaki Steelformers Mountainairs have parted ways with Daniel Gomis and Kevin Foster with a view to keep building on emerging local talent for the future.

Following a 0-4 start to the season, team management has decided to focus on developing and building strong foundations for the future, both on and off the court.

“Both Daniel and Kevin have been terrific around the club,” said Airs Chairman Laine Hopkinson, adding “These decisions are never easy ones, but right now we feel that making some harder decisions now will help us moving forward.”

The Airs pushed 2018 champions Southland Sharks for much of last week’s game, winning the last quarter.

“We wish both Daniel and Kevin all the best for their future opportunities and thank them for their time with us this season.”

The Airs hit the road this week with back-to-back games against Hawke’s Bay Hawks (Saturday) and Supercity Rangers (Sunday).
