GLOBAL BRAND NEW BALANCE PARTNERS WITH SAL’S NBL

New Balance, one of the world’s leading sportswear brands, through its licensee Belgravia Sports Apparel (BSA), has signed a five-year deal with the Sal’s NBL to become the exclusive apparel provider for New Zealand’s national men’s competition.

All ten men’s teams will wear New Balance playing uniforms and training gear going forward, a deal which is a first for the New Zealand National Basketball League. Fans will be able to represent their favourite team by purchasing New Balance apparel at games, in retail stores, and online.

New Balance Pacific General Manager, Dean Howard, is excited to see the brand on Kiwi courts.

“At New Balance, our job is to aid athletes in their pursuit of excellence, whether that means helping professional athletes win medals, or propelling everyday athletes to live a healthy and active lifestyle”.

“We are proud to partner with Sal’s NBL and be involved at this level in New Zealand’s fastest growing sport. We look forward to seeing the teams in our apparel, which offers the perfect blend of performance technology and style,” he finished.

Working alongside Belgravia Sports Apparel to bring the New Balance opportunity to life, Sal’s NBL General Manager Justin Nelson says attracting a globally recognised brand is a massive endorsement for the League.

“The Sal’s NBL is delighted to partner with New Balance as the official apparel provider to our men’s competition over the next five years.

“New Balance is a widely known global brand of the highest level and it goes without saying both our men’s and women’s leagues have a firm desire to attract and work with leading brands,” says Nelson.

Nelson says this news is yet another example of how basketball and the Sal’s NBL is continuing its extraordinary rise in New Zealand.

“We are thrilled that our fans will be wearing the quality that New Balance will bring to our passionate basketball communities across New Zealand. This is another outstanding partnership that highlights the league’s strategic direction and our desire to be an attractive brand for commercial partners.”
