The NZ Select men's team has been finalised for the Schick 3X3 Cup with some familiar Sal's NBL names set to play in the November 12-14 event at ILT Stadium Southland in Invercargill.
Sam Aruwa (pictured above) comes in with plenty of experience having represented New Zealand at the 2019 U23 World Championships in China and will create a physical presence that is very much a key attribute in 3X3.
Aruwa will be joined by Dane Brooks, Denyhm Brooke and Momoisea Pafe.
Brooks (pictured below), who played for the Giants at the NBL Showdown, is no stranger to 3X3 either, having been a part of the team that won the 2019 Quest Tour. The 24-year old has all the attributes to ensure he will be a player to watch at the Schick 3X3 Cup.
Brooke will face some big match-ups at the event, but his versatility and athleticism will be critical to the team's success.
For Momoisea, selection in the NZ Select team is a big opportunity for the shooting guard. Originally from Auckland, Pafe is currently studying at Lincoln University in Christchurch and snapped up the opportunity to do the black and white colours of the NZ Select team.
