Rangers Coach Jeff Green Accepts Early Guilty Plea

Supercity Rangers Coach Jeff Green has accepted an early guilty plea to all three charges levelled against him by the NBL’s Game Review Panel following his team’s game last Thursday night.

Coach Green was charged with unsportsmanlike behaviour and excessively disputing decisions, along with making an obscene gesture.

“In pleading guilty to all three charges, Coach Green has accepted the early plea penalty associated with each charge,” said NBL GM, Justin Nelson.

“Under the new Tribunal Process the league has recently adopted, this is a first offence for Coach Green and I trust we won’t see a second offence.

“The Sal’s NBL is a quality League and one we should all enjoy. The integrity of the League is sacrosanct and poor behaviour won’t be tolerated,” added Nelson.

In accepting the early guilty plea, Coach Green accepted his actions were “not what we are trying to project to the fans or in fact what we are trying to achieve as a League.”

“Please accept my apologies and my sincere regret that we as a League had to endure through my actions and the negative publicity it generated, when it should have been a celebration of the start of the new season with our League being back on live television,” said Green.
