He began his professional career playing in Cyprus (2022-23) before playing the most recent European season with the KK Alkar Sinj club in the Croatian Premier League.
Following high school Alok played the 2014-15 ANBL Championship winning season with the Breakers as a Development player. Played two ANBL games scoring his only two points against Perth Wildcats.
Graduated from New Mexico State University in 2022 where he averaged 4.7ppg in 30 appearances for the Aggies. Played a total of 51 NCAA Division I games.
Prior to his year at New Mexico he played at Coppin State University, Texas Christian University and Chipola College. At the conclusion of his second year at Chipola (2017-18) he was rated the third best junior college recruit in the nation.

Scored a career high 19 points against the Sharks in April 2022.
He missed the 2020 season while recovering from an ACL injury.
Was a standout for the Saints who finished runners-up in the 3×3 Cup in 2023. He was named to the All-Star 4 after finishing as the leading scorer at the Cup.
Played for New Zealand at the U18 3X3 World Cup in China in 2017.

Has scored 1009 points in 123 games in his four-year Australian NBL career to date. His first two seasons were with South East Melbourne Phoenix and the last two seasons with the New Zealand Breakers.
Following high school headed to Sacramento State University on a 4-year scholarship. He finished his Hornets career in 2020 as a Top 10 programme leader in a variety of statistical categories including second in starts (108), fourth in steals (149), sixth in 3-pointers made (187) and eighth in assists (302). His 941 career points ranks 20th all-time for SSU.
At just 16 years and 262 days he became the youngest players to put on a Tall Blacks singlet playing all 8 games on the 2013 China tour plus the two FIBA Oceania Championship games that followed against Australia. He is currently the second youngest as Tai Wynyard was capped when 102 days younger.

He joined Melbourne United in 2015 as a Development Player and played five seasons with the Australian NBL club winning a championship in 2018. Then played two seasons with South East Melbourne Phoenix before moving to the Adelaide 36ers for the 2023-24 season.
Smith-Milner has played 64 games for the Tall Black since debuting against Korea in Tauranga in 2014. Was a member of the bronze medal winning team at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Smith-Milner enjoyed an outstanding tournament at the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup. He scored 25 points (14pts in fourth quarter) to carry the Tall Blacks to an 83-75 victory in the bronze medal game against Jordan – named to the tournament All Star Five.
