The Sal's National Basketball League Games Review Commissioner (GRC) has issued a fine to Wellington Saints Head Coach Zico Coronel for unsportsmanlike behaviour for two incidents that occurred during the Wellington Saints game versus the Otago Nuggets on Wednesday 29th of June 2024 in Round 14.
The two separate incidents occurred in the third and fourth quarter of the game, it was the finding of the GRC that Coach Zico Coronel had committed a classifiable offense of unsportsmanlike behaviour and decided to treat the alleged instances of unsportsmanlike behaviour as one offence.
The GRC issued a base sanction of a $500 fine for a first offence, which was accepted.
The matter is considered closed and Coach Zico Coronel will be available for all team activities moving forward.
