The Sal's National Basketball League Games Review Commissioner (GRC) has reviewed an incident that occurred during the 2nd quarter of the game between the Auckland Tuatara and Otago Nuggets on the 30th of April 2025 in Auckland.
Will Hickey was reported for a seriously offensive comment made towards a match official during the April 30th game, following an investigation he was found by the GRC to have acted in a manner that brought the game of basketball into disrepute.
The GRC has issued an overall sanction of a 2 game suspension which has been accepted.
The suspension will begin for the next two matches for which Will Hickey is available, and once served the matter will be considered concluded with the player available for all team activities moving forward from that time.
