The Wellington Saints have started right where they left off at the end of the 2019 Sal’s NBL season – winning.
Tipping off in Dunedin on Saturday night, the hometown Otago Nuggets brought top-flight basketball back home after a seven-year absence, but this was not the performance they wanted to celebrate with.
The Saints did the celebrating, running out 95-73 winners. Dion Prewster (pictured) was the star of the show with 31pts, 5rbs and 7ast.
