The Sal's NBL men's season will burst back into action across the 2021 Anzac Day weekend with three massive games to greet fans.
Already billed as an unmissable rivalry, the EnviroNZ Franklin Bulls and Auckland Huskies will feature on Anzac Day, Sunday April 25, in the third installment of the 'Battle of the North'.
During their two clashes at the 2020 Showdown the Bulls and Huskies made it well known that while there was respect for each other, there wasn't much love lost when they stepped on the court.
Those battle-lines produced two epic contests at the Showdown with each team claiming a 4-point victory. With bragging rights even, the Battle of the North is the perfect way to start season 2021.
The 2021 Anzac Day weekend will open with the Fluid Recruitment Otago Nuggets (2020 Showdown Champions) hosting the Wellington Saints (2019 League Champions) on Saturday April 24 in front of what is certain to be a sold-out Edgar Centre in Dunedin.
The Bulls will open the doors to the Huskies on Anzac Day, while on the other end of the opening three days, the Mike Pero Nelson Giants will welcome the SIT Zero Fees Southland Sharks on the holiday Monday, April 26. Tip-off will be a family-friendly 2:00pm with the Nelson army set to flock to the Trafalgar Centre.
