Tonight's game between the Nelson Giants and Supercity Rangers will start at 7:30pm, a 30-minute move from the original 7pm start time.
The Rangers were dealt a savage blow early on Saturday morning when their original flight to Nelson was cancelled due to thick fog blanketing Auckland Airport.
Subsequent delays have now pushed the Rangers' arrival time in Nelson to 6pm, forcing the game to be moved to later tip-off time of 7:30pm.
"It's not idea for the Rangers, weather conditions have prevented them from catching their scheduled flight and they will end up spending most of their day at the airport in Auckland," said League GM, Justin Nelson.
"At this stage it looks like the team will arrive into Nelson on as many as three different the flights, with the last group of players touching down just after 6pm.
"In the best interest of player welfare and ensuring the players have enough time to warm-up appropriately for the game we have rescheduled the start time to 7:30pm," Nelson added.
