The Steelformers Taranaki Mountainiars have named the most experienced team for the coming Schick 3X3 Cup with three of New Zealand's top four players set to pull on the black and yellow uniforms.
Karl Noyer (rank 2 in NZ), Tom Allen (rank 3 in NZ) and Aaron Bailey-Nowell (rank 4 in NZ) headline the Mountainairs team, while Tai Wynyard is no stranger to this format having won a Gold Medal at the 2015 FIBA U18 3X3 World Championship.
The formidable line-up comes in with vast knowledge of how to play the 3X3 format, which is packed with differences from the traditional 5-on-5 game. Overall, their individual FIBA 3X3 points will have them well placed to be a team to watch.
In particular, given the 3X3 global points rankings of Noyer, Allen and Bailey-Nowell, it means the Mountainiars will go into the Schick 3X3 Cup as the number one ranked team ahead of pool play.
The exciting three-day event will take place at ILT Stadium Southland between November 12-14. Tickets are now on sale and available HERE.
