The 2025 Sal's NBL referee panel has been revealed following the finalisation of referees fitness and rules tests that have confirmed the number of officials on this Year's NBL and Tauihi Panel's at 26 members.
Several new names are featured on the panel following excellent performances at BBNZ National Tournaments and the final group represents the best standard of officiating for New Zealand's professional leagues in 2025.
Official Brad Clive is the only fresh face to be named on Panel 1, the highest level of qualification that BBNZ offers, joining 5 others to form a 6 strong panel of our most experienced officials.
Panel 2 received an influx of new talent with as Corey Hogg, Reagan Ashley, Sasha Nicholson and Hayden Pipe all made the leap to the second highest level of qualification offered in the country.
Panel 3 has actually shrunk in size from year to year, showcasing 3 officials with Danielle Kooge and Aimee-Jo Clark the newest to reach this level of qualification, while Panel 4 again is made up of ten members with Brin Watson, Ben McLauchlan, Olivia Murray and Elijah Vaealiki the newest qualifiers to gain certification to officiate New Zealand's professional leagues.
2025 will also feature a roster of officials on the Rapid League Development panel as 5 officials will get the opportunity to test themselves with the fast paced game.
The Sal’s NBL season tips off on Wednesday March 12th while the G.J. Gardner Homes Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa will commence play in October, with the schedule being released in the coming months.
